Hyperhidrosis

Last Updated on

Living with hyperhidrosis is a daily struggle for the 3% of people that suffer with it. Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a condition whose exact causes are unknown. Fortunately, individuals with it don’t have to suffer in silence any longer: BOTOX® and AccuTite are effective aesthetic treatment options that can improve hyperhidrosis symptoms for good.

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Everyone sweats, but individuals with hyperhidrosis sweat excessively even when their body doesn’t need to be cooled. This condition can either be hereditary or the result of an underlying condition. While individuals whose hyperhidrosis is caused by an external factor need to address their underlying condition to get rid of their hyperhidrosis, people born with the condition usually have to undergo cosmetic treatment to stop their symptoms.

Individuals with hereditary hyperhidrosis usually sweat from one or two specific areas. The most common of these include the:

  • Palms
  • Feet
  • Underarms
  • Head

Individuals with this type of hyperhidrosis also do not sweat while sleeping and their symptoms typically begin in childhood or adolescence. While this condition is rarely medically threatening, it can be a source of shame and embarrassment for the people that suffer from it.

What are my Treatment Options?

When it comes to treating hyperhidrosis, MD Beauty Labs offers some of the most effective ways to improve excessive sweating for good: BOTOX® and AccuTite. With BOTOX®, this treatment is FDA-approved, minimally-invasive, and clinically proven to reduce sweating for a long time.

During treatment, injectable serum is targeted at problem areas that the patient consistently sweats from. A professional member of our team will careful inject the right amount to control sweating. The active ingredient in BOTOX®blogs the neurotransmitter that communicates with the sweat glands, which will effectively disable them.

Because BOTOX® is temporary treatment, we recommend coming in for repeated injections as needed. Over-the-counter treatment options may be able to cover up the problem, but BOTOX® can stop it completely.

The other option you have available is AccuTite, which takes advantage of “hot” radiofrequency in order to affect the tissue in the treatment area in such a way that it helps to control the excess sweating. AccuTite uses specialized techniques to deliver heat to the sub-dermal layers of skin, which allows for real changes to be made.
